Helping gives you wings — BE ABLE TO HELP

Date of publication: 17.12.2019

That was the first occasion when VECTOR BLUE HUB could take part in the BE ABLE TO HELP CSR project organized by the whole VECTOR Group company. Over 30 employees engaged in refurbishing the Educational Care Facility No. 3 in Gdynia – our hometown. That, however, was only one part of the whole-year project. What happened more?

This year’s finale of the BE ABLE TO HELP project combined both social and environmental issues, and we have linked these ideas together to help those in need. With our employees, we uplifted the spirits of 14 children from the Educational Care Facility No. 3 and gave them a smile. How did we do this? We fixed up their house and equipped it with new furniture so that they could learn and relax in a safe and comfortable place.

We pay close attention to the surrounding ecosystem and observe it with a growing interest day by day. We do not stop learning that sustainable development is essential so we need to take care of it. However, every long journey begins with small steps. The first one has been made to positively influence and promote friendly behaviour to the environment.

In recent years, we observed a very negative trend of declining bird populations around the world. Experts believe that the cause of this lies in climate change, as well as the destruction of the natural bird habitats. Our winged friends need help. And they need it especially during the winter season when the weather conditions in many regions make it difficult for them to find food. Without our support, less experienced or weakened birds have little chance to survive when the temperature falls below zero. One bird feeder with a continually replenished food supply will help them survive the most challenging time.

We encourage you to join us in our efforts to protect birds by feeding them during periods of frost and heavy snowfall. As the first step in our journey to sustainable development, we are sending you a bird feeder that you can use to feed all of the winged guests in your neighbourhood.
